Welcome to Psoriasis Then and Now
Awareness Campaign

If you or someone you know suffers from moderate to severe psoriasis I have started this awareness campaign to try and reach you, the one million other Canadians as well as the 125 million people worldwide who suffer from the auto immune disease just like I do. I have had psoriasis for 23 years and been a clinical drug trial patient for about 15 of them.

Most people I’ve met over the years have heard of psoriasis and know it as a skin disease and while it is often referred to as one it is the immune system that causes all the trouble. Psoriasis in its moderate to severe form often devastates the lives of those suffering from it. In my own case it destroyed my life for 17 years with pain and misery, to the point where it's a wonder I am still alive. Though I still have it, and will until a cure is found, I now have it under control thanks to a major leap forward in treatment. It is this message as well as one of hope and encouragement I am trying to get to all the others suffering from the disease.

My life story of battling the disease is under the “About Me” section, it details my years of suffering, clinical trials and the joy of being liberated from its oppressive symptoms.

I am asking for your help to simply pass the word about me and my experience. You may think trying to reach 125 million people is a bit ambitious but everytime someone helps it gets easier. In Canada, where I am from, over a million others are suffering from psoriasis. That's 1 in 36, which is a staggering ratio for any disease. The worst part is most suffer in silence out of fear their disease will be misunderstood as contagious or that no one really cares because it is only dry skin. Well it's neither, its chronic, extreamly painful, and we really need your help.

Though you may never know who you have helped I can guarantee you will help change the life of someone who is suffering from a disease in which they no longer have to.

Thanks to everyone who even considers helping me.
